- **Digital Twins:** Doctrine may move into the combat system itself. "Digital Twins" of ships could allow sailors to rehearse tactics in a virtual environment that is instantly updated with the latest doctrinal changes, merging training and doctrine into a single continuum.<sup>4</sup>
